Freedom Writing Blog Showcase Launch!

Writers benefit the most from a sense of community. We spend many days and nights at home, without the camaraderie of our co-workers. There are many times when it is just you and the blank page, and you never quite feel so alone until that moment.

We don’t have the benefit of working with fellow writers and going out for for a few drinks after our 9 to 5 shift. Although online forums and Twitter help to bridge the gap, it is hard to shake the feeling that we are alone.

In honor of the new year and the spirit of community building, I am giving you the opportunity to be showcased on a new regular feature here at Freedom Writing.

The Freedom Writing Blog Showcase will be a weekly service, where anyone can learn more about you and your blog. I will take a handful of blogs each Saturday, and write a bit about the awesome content available there.

How can you have your blog on the Blog Showcase? It’s so easy! Just leave a comment linking to your blog and telling us all a little bit about it.

That’s it! Each week I will pick a few blogs and tell all my readers about you!

I look forward to reading all your outstanding blogs! Be sure to tell us a little about yourselves too. Thanks for participating!

Iowadawg is my personal blog where I talk about myself, my wife, our kids, and our grandkids (we have 10). What is going on with us and our extended family (think every 3rd person in Iowa is either related to my wife or knows her). I also write about anything that hits me, like the nice US GOV and their wasteful bailouts.

  2. Carol McManus Says:

    Hi,
In my blog I write about what I learned over the years having 5 kids, starting 6 businesses, and publishing a cookbook.
I lead an interesting life and I think people can learn from the wisdom that I’ve gained.

I’m glad to have found your site. I’m in the middle of writing a novel that I hope to shop around by the end of 2009, I’m a poetry reviewer for a literary magazine, an article reviewer for a new media journal, a podcaster and a techie. I’m home now after a career in tech and I’m raising two little ones. Thanks so much for this! What a great idea!

I am a mom of two, married and full time student working towards my master in English. My blog is a lot of random thoughts that I try to capture and share with the world, be it bizarre news, pet peeves, or why my family drives me nuts. I love meeting new people and hearing their opinions as well!

After getting my degree in Communication Studies and writing website content and blogs for other people, I decided to venture out on my own and become an internet marketing consultant. My business is new, so I have decided to guide beginners through the process with my blog. Hi!
Thanks for the opportunity to introduce my blog here!

Well, I’ve started out blogging about changes made on my main site http://www.footballdrills.com, but then more and more also started blogging about the NFL (Coaching Carousel etc.) Late last October I started my own Quarterback ranking for the NFL Quarterbacks and published every week my new rankings. Main topics right now are – of course – the various coaching changes and the playoffs…

    Again Thanks for the opportunity!!

    Hey Kim!

    Great idea.

The Way of theMurr – well as the title suggests, my blog is about this quirky thing we call life and the life lessons contained within.

    okay… that sounds like crap.

Really its just me blogging away – there are life lessons, living with depressions and soon my perspective on the social media madness that has infected so many people!

My blog, The Freelance Home Writer, is located here: http://freelancehomewriter.blogspot.com/

Weeeelll (as the Church Lady used to say), isn’t this convieeeenient!

    :)

Hello Kimberlee, my name is AJ and my blog, ‘All Your Blogs Are Belong to Us’ just so happens to be undergoing a complete redesign and relaunch this weekend! I would obviously love the honor of being in your feature.

My blog is a personal one, dealing with what I’ve been told are the often remarkable aspects of my unremarkable life. I suppose if I had to sum things up, the two things I try to accomplish in telling my life’s story is to get my readers to think, and to smile.

I’m not an Internet Marketer, except that I try to market myself as fairly and honestly as I can, and you’ll probably not get rich reading anything I have to say; however if I can make your mind a little richer, well I feel I’ve written a good story.

I hope you’ll pay me a visit soon. I’ll certainly return the favor.

BTW I like your site’s name. That’s exactly what writing is for me: freedom. :)

The new blog launch should be complete by midday Sunday (Jan. 4). You can find me at http://allurblogs.blogspot.com.
